The unemployment rate in our region dropped in September.
The Four County Labour Market Planning Board says the unemployment rate for the Stratford Bruce Peninsula Economic Region decreased by 0.8 percentage points to 7.9% in September.
At the same time, the provincial unemployment rate decreased by 1.1 percentage points to 11%.
They say overall net employment in the region increased by 2,400 with both full-time and part time gains.
