HPPH holding immunizations clinics for students

Huron Perth Public Health is putting on vaccine clinics in our region to help students stay up-to-date on their required immunizations.
The clinics are open for students born from 2007 to 2009 who have previously received a dose of Hepatitis B  or Human Papillomavirus, as well as the Meningococcal vaccine and need to complete the series.
Students who haven’t received the vaccines and need to start the series are also eligible.
HPPH officials say the vaccines are usually given at school but because of the COVID-19 pandemic, they weren’t able to hold clinics.

“We encourage youth and their parents/guardians to take the opportunity to stay up-to-date on their immunizations,” says Dr. Miriam Klassen, Medical Officer of Health for Huron Perth. “Routine immunizations help build up and strengthen the immune system, protecting youth from serious diseases.”
