Stratford News Driver charged after fleeing from police SHARE ON: Patrick Grapes, staff Wednesday, Jan. 29th, 2014 A man is facing a handful of charges after leading police on a short chase. The Huron County OPP says an officer spotted a driver not stopping at a stop sign at the intersection of Sports Drive and Turnberry Street in Brussels on January 18th. The officer tried to get the driver to pull over but he took off instead. The driver lost control of his vehicle and ended up sliding into a snowbank on Queen Street. The 19-year-old Morris-Turnberry man was arrested and has been charged with flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and possession of marijuana. He has a court date set for April 10th in Wingham.
